Fantasy Basel 2027 - The Swiss Comic Con

Switzerland's biggest comic con returns to Messe Basel on 15-17 May 2027, with a dedicated Games, Esports & VR area plus board games, TCG and tabletop.
Fantasy Basel - The Swiss Comic Con is the largest pop-culture festival in Switzerland, and its next edition runs from Saturday 15 to Monday 17 May 2027 (Whitsun weekend) at Messe Basel. The organisers report more than 103,000 visitors at the 2026 edition and a show spread over more than 100,000 square metres, with over 800 booths and eight stages.
For players, the relevant part is the dedicated Games, Esports & VR area, alongside a large section for board games, trading card games and tabletop games. Around that sit the classic comic con pillars - comics, film and series, cosplay and fan merchandise - so it works well as a weekend trip for a mixed group of friends where not everyone is a hardcore gamer.
Tickets are sold via Ticketcorner. A day ticket costs CHF 50 in advance for adults (16+) and CHF 33 for youths, cheaper afternoon tickets are available, and a three-day Festival Pass costs CHF 121. On Family Day (Monday) young people up to 16 pay half price, and children up to their 9th birthday enter free with an adult. Entry times are chosen in advance.
Basel sits right on the Swiss-German-French border and is easy to reach by train or via EuroAirport, which makes Fantasy Basel a realistic spring trip for fans from Croatia and the region who want a big Central European convention outside the usual autumn season.
