Slavonikon 2026
Požega's convention for fans of video games, board games, fantasy and Japanese pop culture returns on Saturday, 10 October 2026 at the Futurra faculty building.
Slavonikon, the one-day convention that gathers Slavonia's fans of video games, board games, science fiction, fantasy and Japanese animation, returns to Požega on Saturday, 10 October 2026. This year's edition is hosted at the Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development in Požega (Futurra).
The 2026 theme looks to the future through two contrasting visions: a solarpunk world where technology and nature grow together, and a cyberpunk world of artificial intelligence, neon cities and digital networks. Around that theme the organisers are lining up lectures, workshops, gaming content, board games and quizzes, plus appearances by Croatian comic and fantasy creators - including comic artist Goran Delić on adapting comics to film and illustrator Zdenko Bašić on Croatian folklore, alongside SF and fantasy authors.
For players in eastern Croatia, Slavonikon is one of the few conventions of its kind in the region - a compact, community-driven event where you can play, listen and meet local creators in a single day. Updates are published on the festival's Facebook and Instagram channels (@slavonikon).
