Nintendo Announces Switch 2 With Backwards Compatibility

After months of rumors and leaks, Nintendo has pulled back the curtain on the Switch 2. The new console features a larger 8-inch OLED display, an Nvidia custom Tegra chipset capable of 4K output when docked, and full backwards compatibility with the entire Switch library. Perhaps most exciting is the new Joy-Con design featuring magnetic attachment and a built-in mouse-like sensor for new gameplay possibilities. The console launches at $399 with a lineup that includes a new Mario Kart and a remastered Metroid Prime trilogy.
