Assembly Winter 2027
Finland's veteran computer festival returns to Messukeskus in Helsinki from 25 to 28 February 2027 - four days of BYOC LAN, demoscene competitions and tournaments.
Assembly is Finland's long-running computer festival and one of the oldest events of its kind in Europe, running since 1992. The winter edition returns to Messukeskus, the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre, from Thursday 25 to Sunday 28 February 2027.
The format is unusual by modern convention standards. The heart of Assembly is a large Bring Your Own Computer hall, where visitors book a seat, haul in their own rig and stay for the whole weekend. Around it sit the demoscene competitions that made Assembly famous - hand-coded real-time audiovisual productions judged in front of a live crowd - plus a stage programme and competitive tournaments. There is also a separate visitor area for people who only want to drop in for a day and watch.
For players from Croatia and the region, Assembly Winter is one of the few big European events where classic LAN party culture is still the main attraction rather than a nostalgia corner, and late February is otherwise a quiet stretch in the events calendar. Helsinki is an easy connection from Zagreb via one stop.
