DreamHack's winter festival runs 27-29 November 2026 at Stockholmsmässan: esports, BYOC freeplay, expo, cosplay and tabletop across three halls.
DreamHack Stockholm 2026 takes place from 27 to 29 November 2026 at Stockholmsmässan in Alvsjo, Stockholm, spread across three halls under one roof. It is the winter edition of the festival that effectively invented the modern LAN party, and it still leans on that identity: a gaming festival first, an esports event second.
On the competitive side the organisers have announced the SNK World Championship 2026 and The Finals - The Grand Major 2026. Around that sits the part most attendees actually come for: PC freeplay areas, arcade games with no coins needed, indie showcases, an expo floor with over 100 booths of exhibitors, artists and partners, plus Artist Alley, cosplay competitions, tabletop gaming and community stages with panels. Over 250 creators are expected through the DreamHack Creator Program.
For players from Croatia and the region this is a long trip, but it is the reference point for what a gaming festival can be, and a useful benchmark if you have only ever done regional cons. Late November in Stockholm is dark and cold - which is, honestly, the entire point of spending three days indoors next to a few thousand PCs.
