VIECC Vienna Comic Con 2026
VIECC returns to Messe Wien on 21-22 November 2026 together with the VCA Vienna Challengers Arena - esports tournaments, free-to-play areas and indie developers under one roof with Austria's biggest pop-culture convention.
VIECC Vienna Comic Con 2026 takes place on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November 2026 at Messe Wien (Halls A and B, Messeplatz 1, 1020 Vienna). Doors are open 10:00-20:00 on Saturday and 10:00-18:00 on Sunday.
For gamers, the main draw is the VCA Vienna Challengers Arena, which runs as part of the show. The organiser's highlights page describes it as the place for esports tournaments, free-to-play areas, influencers, panels, exhibitors and sponsors, plus an indie developer section. According to the official visitor information, you can watch matches in the arena and try games yourself, and there is also a board game and trading card game offer where new titles can be tested and bought on site. The organiser had not named specific tournament titles or a match schedule at the time of writing, so check the official site closer to the date.
Around that sits the rest of Austria's largest pop-culture convention: comics, film and series, cosplay competitions, stage shows and an artist area. Announced star guests include Vincent D'Onofrio, Katie Leung and Marina Sirtis, among others; the line-up can still change.
Adult day tickets in advance sale cost 45 EUR for Sunday and 48 EUR for Saturday, and an adult weekend ticket is 73 EUR. Teen and kids' tickets are cheaper (kids aged 6-13 from 15 EUR per day), and children under 6 enter free. VIP packages are also available.
For visitors from Croatia and Slovenia, Vienna is one of the closest big shows of this kind - roughly four to five hours from Zagreb by car, with direct train and bus connections - which makes it a realistic weekend trip for players from the region.
