welan.lu 2026 - LAN Party (Medernach, Luxembourg)
The 4th edition of welan.lu fills the Medernach sports hall from 6 to 8 November 2026: up to 111 seats, 48 hours of gaming and side tournaments.
welan.lu is a weekend LAN party run by the local association Eppelduerfer a.s.b.l. in Medernach (Miedernach), in the east of Luxembourg. For the 2026 edition - the event's fourth - the sports hall is turned into a gaming floor from Friday 6 November at 12:00 until Sunday 8 November at 12:00, with tables, chairs, power and network for up to 111 gamers who bring their own rigs.
The organisers promise a fast shared connection, a bar that stays open around the clock, hot meals (vegan options included) ordered via Discord, plus showers and sleeping areas so players can stay the whole weekend. Next to free play there are casual side competitions such as Trackmania, keyboard precision throwing and beer pong, as well as an arcade corner with pinball machines and consoles.
Gamer seats cost 77 euros at the regular price (the 57-euro early bird has closed). Visitors who only want to look around pay 10 euros, which comes back as a drink voucher, and children under 12 get in free. Groups of five or more players who register at least a week ahead receive food and drink credit.
It is a small, community-run event rather than an expo - the kind of classic bring-your-own-PC weekend that has become rare. Worth a look if you are in the Benelux or western Germany and want a relaxed LAN with friends.
