Greece's biggest pop culture and gaming convention returns to the Tae Kwon Do Olympic Arena in Palaio Faliro, Athens, from 4 to 6 December 2026.
AthensCon, Greece's largest pop culture convention, returns from 4 to 6 December 2026 at the Tae Kwon Do Olympic Arena in Palaio Faliro on the Athens coast. The three-day event blends comics, gaming, film and series fandom into one packed weekend and regularly draws tens of thousands of visitors.
For players there is plenty on the floor: trading card game tournaments and play areas (including Yu-Gi-Oh! and Star Wars: Unlimited), board game zones and organised competitions. Around them sit the classic convention pillars - an Artist Alley with comic creators and illustrators, special guests from the entertainment industry, panels and workshops, a music stage, and one of the region's biggest cosplay contests and shows.
AthensCon is the anchor event of the Greek con calendar and one of the largest gatherings of its kind in the Balkans, so it is a natural December trip for fans from the wider region who want a big-format convention without travelling to Western Europe. The venue is easy to reach from central Athens along the Faliro waterfront.
