BLAST Bounty 2027 Season 1 (Malta)
BLAST opens its 2027 Counter-Strike 2 season in Malta from 11 to 24 January, with 16 teams and a fully LAN format.
BLAST Bounty 2027 Season 1 is a Counter-Strike 2 tournament running from 11 to 24 January 2027 at BLAST Arena Studios in Ta' Qali, Malta. It is the first event on the BLAST Premier calendar for 2027.
This edition changes the Bounty format. The field shrinks from 32 teams to 16 and the whole event is played on LAN, with no online stage. Twelve teams are invited through the Valve rankings, while four come through closed regional qualifiers for Europe, North America, South America and Asia. The team list had not been published when this listing was written.
The teams play four double-elimination groups of four. Group winners go straight to the quarterfinals, second and third place drop into an eight-team Last Chance Qualifier for the remaining four playoff spots, and fourth place is eliminated. The playoffs are single elimination and end with a best-of-five grand final. HLTV reports a total prize pool of $1,250,000, including $320,000 in bounties.
The official page does not yet give a match schedule or ticket details, so anyone hoping to attend in person should check with BLAST before planning a trip. For players in the region, it is one of the first big CS2 events of the year.
