East European Comic Con 2026
Eastern Europe's biggest pop-culture convention runs 11-13 September 2026 at Arena Nationala in Bucharest, with comics, anime, cosplay, guests and a full gaming floor.
East European Comic Con (EECC) is the largest pop-culture convention in this half of Europe, and the 2026 edition takes over Arena Nationala, Bucharest's national stadium complex, from 11 to 13 September.
The programme is the familiar EECC mix: international film and TV guests, comic artists and an artist alley, anime and manga, board games, merchandise and collectibles stands, and a large video-game area. Cosplay is traditionally the centrepiece of the weekend, with competitions and photo areas spread across the venue.
Opening hours are staggered. Friday 11 September runs from 15:00 to 20:00 and is the calmer day for shopping and getting your bearings. Saturday 12 September, 10:00 to 19:00, is the peak day with the full guest line-up. Sunday 13 September, also 10:00 to 19:00, is noticeably less crowded. Paid on-site parking is available and the arena is served by several city bus, tram and metro connections.
For players and fans from Croatia and the wider Adria region, EECC is one of the closest events of this scale - a short flight from Zagreb, Split or Belgrade - and it regularly draws tens of thousands of visitors over the three days.
